Day 01 Colombo to Kandy

Assemble at Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai as per the scheduled flight departure time and proceed to Colombo - capital city of Sri Lanka. After breakfast, we will then proceed to Kandy (110 kms.). Enroute we will visit Pinnawala- well known for its elephant orphange, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Kandy. In the evening we will visit to Dalada Maligawa (The Temple of the Tooth Relic). Thereafter we will attend a Kandyan Dance show (The cultural show which gives you the opportunity to witness a spectacular display of Kandyan dancing, Sri Lanka's iconic art form, which includes elaborate costumes, boisterous mass drumming, and flamboyant dancing.

Day 02 Kandy City Tour

After breakfast, we will visit famous Spice Garden. After lunch, we will take a round of the city of Kandy. The most famous landmark of Kandy is Udawatte-Kele Lake, in the center of the city. Further visit the Peradeniya Royale Botanical Garden, this is Sri Lanka's largest garden an elegant and spacious 147-acres (60-hectares). There are some 4,000 different species of plants at Peradeniya Gardens. The 10,000 or so trees, which are the stars, are mature, lofty giants, many of them tropical timber trees. This garden also has renowned for the collection of variety of Orchids. After lunch, we will visit to Gem shop where you will get to know the history of gem mining in Sri Lanka Kandy is also famous for its shopping, gems and jewellery, handicrafts, batiks, Kandiyan sarees etc.

Day 03 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, we will leave for Nuwara Eliya (76 kms.) the center of hill country. En-route we will visit Bhakt Hanuman Temple in Ramboda . Followed by a visit to Tea plantations and a Tea Factory, the producers of world famous Ceylon Tea. Further we will Arrive Nuwara Eliya. Check in the hotel. Nuwara Eliya means "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". Nuwara Eliya is known for it’s cool climate- the coolest area in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya, also known as Sri Lanka's “Little England”, Its nickname comes from the many English style bungalows and buildings still in existence today. During the colonial times, it was a popular mountain resort and has retained its popularity as a holiday destination even today. Evening will be at leisure.

Day 04 Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, we will visit Sita Amman Temple, according to tradition, the site is associated with Sita of the Ramayana epic. It is considered that this is the site where Sita was held captive by Ravana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her. Thereafter we will visit- Hakgala Botanical Garden, considered as a Ashok Vatika and one of the pleasure garden of Ravana. Thereafter we will take a stroll of city of Nuwara Eliya.

Day 05 Nuwara Eliya to Bentota

After breakfast, we will proceed to Bentota (180 kms.- 4 Hrs.). On arrival Check-in the hotel. In the evening you can enjoy a water sports (on your own).

Day 06 Bentota to Colombo enroute Galle fort

After breakfast, we will proceed to visit Galle fort- built first in 1588 by the Portugeese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance. Will also see Galle International Cricket Stadium (from outside) and Dutch Reformed Church. After lunch, While returning enjoy Madu Ganga River Cruise, this Boat safari along the Madu River is a relaxing trip with plenty of interesting stops. You pass dozens of islets forested with mangroves and can appreciate the timeless natural rhythms of rural life. Further visit to Turtle Hatchery, These turtle hatcheries were constructed to rescue and protect turtle eggs because of the rapidly declining numbers of marine turtle in Sri Lankan shores. We will further proceed towards Colombo. Arrive Colombo. Check-in the hotel. Evening will be free for shopping (on your own).

Day 07 Colombo Flight back.

After breakfast, time will be at leisure. After lunch, leave for Colombo City orientation tour and visit- Colombo Fort area, Pettah, Galle Face Green, Colonial buildings, BMICH. Later free time at Arpicos and House of Fashion for shopping. Post lunch transfer to the airport to connect night flight for Mumbai. We will arrive Mumbai in the late night.

  • Any expenses caused by reasons beyond our control such as bad weather, natural calamities (landslides, floods, etc), flight delays, excess baggage, rescheduling or cancellations, any accidents, medical evacuations, riots, strikes, war, airlines or hotel policies etc.

Terms & Conditions of booking a tour:

  • In the event of natural calamities or unavoidable circumstances, the Tour Manger has discretionary powers to modify the route or cancel the tour.
  • The company reserves the right to alter, amend, postpone or cancel any of the tours advertised in the brochure, without assigning any reason. In that case, money paid by the tour participant will be fully refunded but no compensation claim will be entertained.
  • If the tour participant requests to cancel the tour, in writing, the money will be refunded as per the table given below:

  • If the tour participant requests to transfer / pre pone / post pone the tour, in writing, the transfer charges will be as per Company Policy.
  • Baggage and personal belongings of the tour participant is his/her responsibility. The company shall not be liable for the loss / damage of the same.
  • The company shall not be responsible and / or liable for any damage / loss caused to the tour participant due to reasons beyond the control of the company.
  • Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited during the bus journey / in the dining halls.
  • If the tour participant misbehaves causing inconvenience or annoyance to any tour participant or causes damage to the property of the company, he/she will be asked to leave the tour immediately. The Tour Managers have been authorized to do so. There will not be any compensation, whatsoever, in such cases.
  • Drinking water will not be provided by the company during the Bus journey. Tour participants are requested to carry their own Water Bottles.
  • As a Travel House / Tour Operators, the company does not have any control over Airlines, Railways, Coach Companies, Shipping Companies, Hotels, Local Transport or any other facilities, provided by the third parties. The company is not responsible for the delays or deficiencies in the services provided by outside agencies. Also please note that the company does not have any control on schedules of opening and closing timings of the tourist attractions.
  • If the tour participant is travelling by Air/ Rail before the tour schedule of the company, he/she shall bear the expenses towards food and accommodation. If the tour participant is travelling by Air/Rail on tickets/schedule not arranged by the company, it will be sole responsibility of the tour participant to join the group at the right time and place. In any circumstances the company and the Tour Manager shall not be responsible for the tour participant, before joining the group.
  • Advance payment made at the time of booking, shall not be refunded, if the visa application is rejected.
  • Departure dates of US & Europe tours may be pre-poned or post-poned by 1 week. Whereas departure dates of China/Egypt/South East Asia/Mauritius/Sri Lanka/Maldives tours may be pre-poned or post-poned by 1 day. The company will inform the change to the tour participants at least 30 days before the revised departure date.
  • Any disputes arising in respect of the tour shall be subject to Mumbai Jurisdiction.
  • The company may arrange shooting during tours (stills / video). The tour participants shall have no objection to the shot material being used as publicity material by the company.
  • Cheques / Demand drafts should be drawn in favour of “Shubhay Tours and Travels Pvt.Ltd”, payable at Mumbai.
  • Tour Price variations are expected depending on the prevailing conversion rate.Payment in USD to be calculated on the prevailing rate of Exchange of Euros & Dollars > INR on the day of actual payment to Shubhay Tours and Travels
